This is a serious question. I have noticed that it is often girls who enjoy horse riding, and i have heard that scientificly many girls break their hymens through horse riding.
So i was wondering do you girls gain any kind of sexual pleasure from the sensation of being in a horses saddle? Is that the attraction ?

Here’s one from a man,and yes I think it is possible in very strenuous situations Im sure that happens in fact I have heard of it although not first hand. I hate to say all the things Ive broken over the years its a long way from an x box to a 1000pd horse its not the gentlest sport. As for the sexual aspect I highly doubt it but females Ive known do seem to have a much stronger emotional bond with their horses than their male counterparts. In the type of work I did sometimes this was a great advantage as a sometimes a female would get along with a particular horse really well while he or (usually she) would give male riders a fit.For some reason unknown to me females have an ability to bond with all animals not just horses in a way that men cant.A lot of old school trainers don’t like having a women in the barn but I see it as a great advantage. You ladies just seem to make the connection sometimes when we cannot

What do I need when I go horse riding to look stylish? I used to do riding lessons, so I know the basics, but how can I look nice when I ride? What boots? Joddies or breeches? Thanks! Links are appreciated!

Ariat tall boots (everyone wears them n in the horse world they are really "in")

On course riding pants (i just got a pair and i LOVE them)
or
Eq riding pants
or
Ariat riding pants (jods or breeches work…try to get a schooling pant that streches a little and is soter than a show pant)
dont be afraid to get riding pants in cool colors like chocolate brown, black, and dark green those colors are in right now as well as baige

get a charles owen helmet (they can get pricy..just warning u…so unless ur really serious about riding u shouldent get one)

or international helmet black velvet of course!

wear a polo shirt preferably ralf lauren but if not then ariat makes some nice polo shirts as well as many other brands. even abercrombie and fitch makes a nice polo

if you dont want to get a polo shirt then wear a sugar lips tank top they are soft and really stylish.

get some sort of bit jewlery like a ring that has a bit on it or even a bit necklace thats not too big and relatively simple (not too fancy) you can find one at a tack shop almost anywhere.

thats about it good luck!=)

Usually ,people who wants to have thrills adventure etc go for these kinds of sports ,horse racing ,wher the movement and results are fast, its a kind of addiction ,how to control it?

A psychological disorder is when there is a compulsive behaviour or addiction.Doing things for an occasional thrill is NOT a psychological disorder. If later is your definition of a disorder, then this planet is full of mental cases.
Life itself is a gamble baby!

I am looking for either good websites or books (please, ones that you know and trust, not that you just now googled) regarding basic horseback riding form and vocabulary. I rode when I was younger for about seven years, and would like to do some research before picking it up again. I rode western then, but am open to information on english as well.

Hunter/Jumper is right. Horseback Riding for Dummies is an excellent little refresher! I still refer back to it when I cannot figure something out. Another resource I really like is Horse Channel.com. It is a very friendly community of horse lovers that is getting pretty popular. You can ask questions on the forum or read articles on specific training techniques. It would be a really good refresher to just read the articles and maybe you will remember some stuff. Okay and for the last one…Get Young Rider magazine. We get it at our barn and I read some of the articles for ideas to teach. It has informative very descriptive and informative articles. Really any book about horseback riding could give you some tips to get back into it. Good luck, and e-mail me if you need to find a riding stable in your area..I know lots of them!

Do you need to buy your own equipment–such as a helmet..?

Any info on horseback riding lessons would be helpful!

Hi!
Depending a bit on where you live, plan to spend 25-40 USD for an hour of lesson, which often included how to tack up,lead a horse, mount, warm up, stretch, ride, clean tack, have fun and enjoy the discipline you choose: English for pleasure, dressage, jumping ,trail etc, Western for pleasure, barrel racing, stock work, reining and trail etc.
* Either should require you to have a hardhat, check out Troxel or the lighter weight Aegis for good prices (link below). You might also like your own boots, as a trainer/sneaker won’t get near most barns. If your not sure if you want to buy a pricey set of boots when your just having fun,the hybrid sneaker-boot is comfy(Ariat mens/ladies Terrain). Pants can be soft denims, shirt a long or short sleeved T for summer. Buy stuff later off your trainer’s list. You may be showing soon! why not, its fun.
There are a lot of "instructors" out there,to find one you like and can mesh with: ask at a horse feed and tack shoppe, or boarding stables usually have a instructor handy, and they know people. 4-H and Pony Clubs ( for the under 21’s) also have good people to refer. Then audit a class or two. If sitting in on a class shows you an instructor that you like, often you can buy a "package" of lessons for less than a day by day pay.Clinics and shows are also good meet a trainer places. **Just say NO to buying a "perfect " horse for you the first year:) **Your paying to be taught, not to house and feed a horse * yet* lol. Cost of hat, boots -150. Lessons,100-200/month. Luck!
