My gelding is a western just-for-fun Appaloosa Sport Horse (thoroughbred/appaloosa cross) and I am a junior rder. What type of bit does he need. On a scale for one to ten, I say as far as training goes he’s a 7.

Hey i have an appy

I am a really BIG HORSE FAN, and i have been riding for 8yrs, i am wondering how i can convince my mom to let me get a horse. please help me!!!! if you have anyways to help me, please tell!!

thanks

Your mum is worried. She is worried that you might not able to take the big responsibility of looking after a horse. She feels that she may have to take on the responsibility of looking after your horse if you get tired of it (Which I’m sure you won’t). She thinks that if you neglect it, then she will have to sell it and she does not want to see you upset. Also, horses cost a lot of money to buy and to look after. They need shelter as well, so you must have that available. She may be worried about the financial strain it would take on the family. She doesn’t feel ready for it and she may not have everything to look after it. To try and convince her, you must say that you will do everything for the horse. You must save up to buy the horse (by doing this, you will impress your mother on your responsibility of buying the horse). When you have bought the horse, you must save up again to pay for feed and other expenses. Tell your mother this. Say that if you slack off on your chores for the horse, then she (your mother), will have the right to sell her straightaway and you will not protest. Say that she will not have to do a thing and say that you will do everything she says if you can get a horse.
I hope this helped.
Good Luck.

Looking into it.

Contact them. They probably have a list of services they provide and costs they charge. They might even be on the internet.

I was thinking of some tall boots, breeches and a polo or something. i don’t know. I don’t want to show up at the stable all dressed up in the full attire and not even know how to ride a horse, haha.

So What should I wear and what did you wear on your first horseback riding lesson?

I wore Jeans that were not tight and a tee-shirt. I wore boots with a small heel not tall and skinny more like a cowboy boot sort of thing. Your teacher will tell you about buying a helmet and if your boats are right and if your clothing is approprate when you get there. For the first day he or she will lend you a helmet most likely. Ridding is fun i wish you luck

Where is Winky's Horse? (DVD)

MOVIE DVD – A young girl charged with watching Santa’s horses must track down an escaped steed in this sequel to the 2006 family drama Winky’s Horse. Santa has departed from Spain, and he won’t be back until St. Nicolas’ Day the following year. In Santa’s absence, Winky Wong has been asked to look after his horse Amerigo. Enchanted and eager to do her best, Winky soon commences taking riding lessons on Naf-Naf the pony. Her skills steadily growing, the young girl is taught how to tend to the horses by her wise Aunty Cor and Uncle Siem. But while Winky is determined to ride Amerigo, Aunty Cor and Uncle Siem reject the idea by stating that Amerigo is too much horse for her to handle. Upon learning that her mother is pregnant, the conflicted Winky looks forward to having a sibling but fears that she will no longer be the center of attention. One day, while tending to Amerigo alone, Wiky seizes the moment and attempts to ride Santa’s horse. Unfortunately things don’t go as planned, and Amerigo breaks free from his paddock. Though Winky sets off on her bike to track down the missing horse, Amerigo is nowhere to be found. What’s a girl to do after she’s lost Santa’s favorite horse? – Where is Winky’s Horse? (DVD)
